A rehydration mixture is useful to treat the shortage of water in the body. It is also helpful in curing diarrhoea. It can be prepared easily at home. At first, hands, cups and spoons are cleaned thoroughly. After this, a litre of boiled but cold water is taken into a pot. Then, two tablespoons of sugar or honey are added to the water. Next one-fourth spoonful of common salt is mixed with it. Then one-fourth teaspoonful of sodibicurb, commonly known as edible soda, is dropped into it. Later, a few drops of lemon juice is added to it. Then the mixture is stirred well. Now the mixture is ready to serve.
